LESSON CONTENT & STRUCTURE
- MCQ practice papers (Grammar Schools)
- ISEB & PreTest Plus (Independent schools 1st round)
- In the initial few weeks, we'll be working on comprehending a text passage, elimination technique, retrieval and fact finding and dealing with different types of comprehensions- fiction/nonfiction/poem/advertisement/article.
- Every MCQ practice test will be accompanied by an added language activity (cloze, vocabulary, shuffled sentence, sentence completion, spelling, etc.)
- Homework is compulsory– not more than 2hrs/week; all homework will be discussed in class.
- Additional work material will be suggested to be done at home during midterm breaks and term holidays.
- Topics (Spelling, Punctuation, Grammar & Vocabulary) – topics covered in class and exercises done in class too.
- Valuable resources with answers will be shared via Google drive for extra practice at home.
- Lesson timing will be increased to 2.5hrs/week after Feb half term at no additional cost.
- Similar ability children in the group. Maximum of 12 in a group.
- Feedback: Constant feedback (positive or negative) will be provided.
- Five SPAG lessons during October half-term MUST be attended. SPAG syllabus will be covered during this time! October half term 2024: 28th October – 01st November 2024. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK ANY HOLIDAYS!!
