LESSON CONTENT & STRUCTURE
- MCQ comprehensions & inference skills
- Standard format comprehensions will be introduced from the very basic using PEE concepts
- Reading Comprehensions (Key Comprehension/Junior English/Bond/CGP)
- SPAG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar) -Topics will be covered and tested (CGP / Schofield & Simms)
- Spelling - tested weekly.
- Vocabulary (not Verbal Reasoning)
- Sentence structure - varied sentence types to be used in writing pieces.
- Varied writing pieces (letter/descriptive/persuasive/report/etc.) (only after completing the sentence structures)
- Work will be marked manually, mistakes analysed and discussed in class.
- Reading Comprehension will be dealt in a way that will enable the kids to analyse and understand the text and prepare them for both MCQ and standard format comprehension styles.
